Burgerstein Curcuma Complex offers a premium turmeric extract obtained through an innovative technology, together with a rosemary extract and all natural variants of vitamin E. This product is great for vegans and vegetarians.
A member of the ginger family, turmeric (Curcuma longa) is much more than just a spice plant. The bright yellow turmeric powder is universally known as one of the main ingredients of curry. The dried and ground curcuma longa root, which contains curcumin as a significant component, gives curry its distinctive color. Originally from India and Southeast Asia, turmeric has been used therapeutically in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine for over 4000 years. India remains a leader in the cultivation of turmeric, contributing about 80% of the world's harvest.
In recent years, there has been a significant increase in awareness of the many talents of turmeric extracts. Despite the wide range of different dosage forms and the criticism of low bioavailability, it is of great importance to choose the right turmeric extract when buying a dietary supplement with turmeric.
