Burgerstein Sun is a product designed to prepare the skin for increased sun exposure. It contains essential micronutrients such as vitamin C, selenium and natural carotenoids (astaxanthin, lycopene), which help protect the skin from oxidative stress.

There is no sunscreen that you can eat or swallow. However, it appears that skin that is optimally supplied with various micronutrients is actually better able to compensate for sun damage.

Beta-carotene, lycopene, vitamins C and E, selenium, zinc and calcium are mainly referred to as "sun protection from within". The functions of the nutrients in the body provide an explanation for this. Beta-carotene and lycopene belong to the carotenoid group.

Like vitamins C and E, they have an antioxidant effect and can therefore counteract the formation of radicals caused by UV radiation.
