Burgerstein L-Carnitine offers 600 mg of purest L-Carnitine (Carnipure©) per tablet and is suitable for vegans.

L-carnitine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that is formed in the organism from the amino acids L-lysine and L-methionine. L-carnitine is mainly found in meat and other animal products. On average, we obtain 75% of the L-carnitine present in the body from our diet, while the remaining proportion is produced by the body itself.

L-carnitine plays a crucial role in energy metabolism and endurance performance in athletes, promotes regeneration, transports fats (fatty acids) and enables their efficient combustion.

In the human body, the vitamin-like nutrient carnitine is synthesized with the help of iron, vitamin C, B6, B12, folic acid, niacin and enzymes. Our organism produces L-carnitine from the amino acids methionine and lysine. It is absorbed through food, especially animal foods such as red meat.
