Optimal
support against your allergy.
Burgerstein has several products that can help with allergies. We have summarized these for you as a “Combination!”. This contains all the micronutrients that support the body in coping with your allergy. The
following micronutrients support you in your daily life with allergies:
Vitamin C
plays a central role in the body's defenses and is particularly essential for
allergies to lower histamine levels. Vitamin C reduces DNA damage in immune
cells, increases the immune defenses, especially in the mucous membranes,
stabilizes the connective tissue and blood vessels and reduces the body's
readiness for inflammation.
Zinc for
the mucous membranes: It is important that the body is optimally supplied with
zinc - both in the case of allergies and a tendency to infections. Zinc plays
an indispensable role in all processes of growth and regeneration, in
antioxidant systems and in the formation of gamma-linolenic acid and the
anti-inflammatory prostaglandin E1. Zinc can also increase susceptibility to
infections and allergies. Zinc is not only important for its role in the immune
system, but also for vitamin A metabolism. Here it is essential for the
conversion of beta-carotene into vitamin A, which regenerates mucous
membranes.
Calcium can
help to increase the stability of blood vessels and reduce the release of
histamine. A deficiency therefore increases susceptibility to infections and
hypersensitivity of the mucous membranes and skin.
Magnesium
can effectively lower the reaction threshold for allergic stimuli and generally
has a relaxing effect, which is particularly beneficial for respiratory
complaints.
High-quality
omega-3 fatty acids are particularly beneficial for atopic diseases. The
anti-inflammatory and membrane-protecting effect of eicosapentaenoic acid
should be particularly emphasized here.
Atopy
(atopia, Greek = placelessness) is the tendency to an increased allergic
reaction to normally harmless substances or stimuli from the environment.
Vitamin D
affects and controls the innate and adaptive immune system. The presence of
vitamin D stimulates the formation of defense substances in the innate immune
system. In the adaptive immune system, vitamin D has an anti-inflammatory
effect by reducing T helper cells and promoting the formation of T cells. This
intervention prevents an excessive immune reaction and at the same time
stimulates the controlled formation of antibodies for targeted combat.
The trace
elements selenium and zinc as well as curcumin, the natural pigment from the
turmeric root, help your body to deal with the inflammation that occurs during
allergic reactions. This is because they capture the “free radicals” that are
formed during this process.
Beta glucan
support Two studies have observed an improvement in allergy symptoms after
supplementation with beta glucan. In the first study, the administration of 250
mg Wellmune resulted in improvements in several respects. Not only did the
subjects have less severe allergic reactions to mugwort, but they also felt
generally less stressed and happier (1). Similar benefits of beta glucan were
observed in children between the ages of one and three (2).
