Natural coenzyme Q10 - high dose.
Burgerstein Q10 capsules contain per unit 100 mg of coenzyme Q10 in the form of ubiquinone, which is naturally extracted by fermentation from yeast. The vegetable capsules are tasteless and odorless, making them ideal for daily use. Coenzyme Q10 is mainly present in mitochondria (energy centers of the cells), in the blood and in cell membranes.
Coenzyme Q10 helps protect fats throughout the body from electron depletion (oxidation) and thus from structural damage. It can also renew other antioxidants, such as vitamin E, so that they can be used again as antioxidants.
Furthermore, coenzyme Q10 plays an essential role in energy production in the mitochondria ("cellular power plants") and thus contributes to the formation of ATP, the main energy supplier of the cells. Consequently, coenzyme Q10 concentrations are highest in those cells where energy demand is greatest (heart, liver, kidneys, muscles, brain).
Coenzyme Q10 has the ability to reduce various inflammatory markers while improving the function of the thin lining layer of blood vessels, the vascular endothelium. This layer plays an important role in regulating vascular pressure and blood clotting.
